Pitti Uomo – Trend Recap. By Ricci Lopez
Pitti Uomo is arguably the most notable and high profile platform for men’s clothing and accessories in the world. The streets of Firenze, Italy are swarmed with buyers, designers, and the fashion industry at large; all of whom are there to take part in Pitti and all of it’s elegant, sartorial brilliance. Being that I am in the business of men’s fashion I was naturally drawn to the show and all of the social media hype surrounding it. The trends, ensembles, and attention to detail had my head spinning. The recurring theme that I noticed most was double breasted sport coats and suits, double breasted waistcoats, windowpane prints, brilliant blue and shades of brown, vibrant colors paired with white and ivory pants, double monk strap dress shoes, tassel loafers, suede and leather mixed media on shoes, beaded bracelets, leather totes, attacheés, fedoras, and Panama hats.
