A night out with Hollywood’s elite – Golden Globes 2016 Style Recap

Every year for the past 73 years, the Golden Globes has honored the best in film and television. But who cares about that part – we’re just here for the style. Picking my top five wasn’t easy. Every entertainer tried to bring it. Wiz Kalifah rocked a tailor made look, pun intended, while Jason Statham bridged edgy and classic with a plum velvet tux jacket. Here are my top 5 looks.
Michael B Jordan not only knocked it out of the park last year with his new hit movie Creed but he also seemed to K.O everyone at the Golden Globes. Dressed to the nines, he took home my title for best dressed. #Dapper this lower scoop waistcoat is what did it for me. Looks like these gents need to not only be taking fitness notes from Michael but styling advice as well! Yes to a low scoop double-breasted waistcoat!
Our favorite funny guy Mr. Kevin Hart. Who would have thought his style was as good as his jokes?! This guy owns his one of one custom dinner jacket. It’s all in the details – like his lapel flower that drew everyone’s attention the whole night. Well-played Mr. Hart!
Jason Statham attends the golden globes and reminds us we could have it all. Accompanied by his beautiful model girlfriend Rosie Huntington Jason shows us how velvet dinner jackets should be worn. We are definitely digging the thicker shawl collar. You have to give the man some props for being one of the few actors on the red carpet to not shy away from a little bit of color. Plum is definitely the color of elegance. Nice touch Jason!
Best actor in a TV series, drama: Jon Hamm, “Mad Men.” Now who could argue with this look? We just have to show Jon aka “Don Draper” some respect. The man can dress. Although his look was simple he took a spot in top 5 by layering a waistcoat underneath his tux jacket. We’re giving him props for going the extra mile. We see you Jon!
Best supporting actor, motion picture: And the winner is… Sylvester Stallone in “Creed.” Hands down Mr. Stallone was dressed as a winner last night. Keeping his look sharp wearing a sharkskin navy blue peak lapel tux suit. Simply dressed to kill! Only thing missing if I may add would be a white silk pocket square to complete this dapper look.
